Results of Our Caucus

Here is our press release:

At their August 27 caucus, Democrats in the Town of Dryden nominated a full slate of town candidates for the election to be held November 5. Town Supervisor Mary Ann Sumner will run for a fourth two-year term, and Deputy Supervisor Jason Leifer, who joined the Town Board for a one-year term in 2008, will run for his second four-year term as councilperson. Running for the other open four-year town council position will be Greg Sloan, a Cornell astrophysicist who lives in Ellis Hollow with his wife and two daughters. Rounding out the ticket is Rick Young, Jr., a longtime member and former chief of Neptune Hose Company, who will compete for the job of highway superintendent on the Democratic line.

Town candidates in Dryden are chosen by caucus. These four candidates will be joined on the ballot in Dryden by Democratic county candidates Martha Robertson and Mike Lane, whose candidacies were determined by petition in early July.
